Dan has spent an impressive 23 and a half years in the tattoo industry, and tattooing is pretty much in his DNA. As a second-generation tattoo artist, he was taught the craft by none other than his father. After learning the ropes, Dan went on to open his own studio and spent years travelling around, soaking up new techniques and exploring different styles to continuously perfect his craft.
Dan’s specialties are incredibly diverse, but his true passion lies in blackwork/fineline, old school/traditional tattoos, and anime/illustration designs. He loves blending the bold lines of traditional tattoos with the intricate details of fine line work, creating pieces that stand the test of time but still feel fresh and unique.
One of Dan’s most memorable experiences was meeting one of the OG tattoo pioneers at a convention in Coventry. To shake hands with someone who helped shape the UK tattoo scene was a humbling moment, and a reminder of just how far the industry has come.
When it comes to clients, Dan values easy-going, trusting people who let the artist do their thing. He enjoys a relaxed environment where the focus is on the art and having fun, rather than stressing over every little detail.
Outside of tattooing, Dan’s world revolves around his love for anime/manga, his kids, and a good old game of retro gaming. He also has a huge appreciation for old architecture, always noticing the little details that make a building special. Whether it’s a nostalgic anime series or a day exploring historical buildings, he’s always searching for inspiration in life’s unique corners.
