Ash has been in the tattoo game for a solid 8 years now, but getting here wasn’t exactly a walk in the park. He spent what felt like forever knocking on studio doors, getting turned away 13 times before someone finally gave him a shot. Studio number 14 said yes, and that moment pretty much changed everything for him. Since then, he’s been all in, living and breathing the tattoo life.
These days, Ash is all about black and grey realism, especially anything with a horror twist. It’s the darker, more detailed stuff that really gets him fired up creatively. He still remembers his first ever full-day horror realism piece — nerves, excitement, and a proper “this is what I’m meant to be doing” kind of feeling.
When Ash is tattooing, it’s not just about the ink — it’s about having a good laugh and making sure the client feels relaxed and at home. For him, the best sessions are the ones where everyone’s having a great time, not just sitting stiff in silence. Good vibes make good tattoos.
Outside of work, Ash is all about good food, good wine (red, preferably), and getting out and about. Whether it’s a chilled day trip or a proper holiday somewhere sunny, he’s always planning his next escape.
